A common light on dump bodies is the 4” round lamp and the 6.5” long oval lamp. These lamps mount in the body post or in boxes below the bed of the truck. These are also common on utility trailers because of their durability to withstand severe punishment. Both lamps are available in a sealed lamp with a shock resistant bulb or in LED. LED lamps have a lifetime warranty. These lamps are supplied with the rubber grommet used for mounting. The rubber grommet is also available separately.
Steel light boxes are available for the round and oblong lamps and come in steel. Each box has a black powder coat finish. The oblong lamp light boxes come in single, dual or triple lamp.
LED lamps have less current draw, resulting in increased battery & alternator life while allowing more power for other vehicle requirements. LED’s illuminate faster offering significant safety benefit for following drivers to react quicker, resulting in an average distance of 3’ for every 10 mph. LED’s have no filament, therefore are extremely resistant to shock & vibration.

Mill Supply also sells complete stop/tail/turn modules using the Truck-Lite Super 40 four inch round lamps for the left and the right side of the vehicle. These metal box modules come in two or three lamp and include the side marker, reflectors and the 3 lamp module includes a 6’ wiring harness.
